Are you ready to head into regions unknown? Want to drive roads that Classic Car Adventures events have never taken you before? The Fall Freeze is set to be another great motoring adventure from September 20-22, 2013.
After much coaxing and cajoling from some of our island-based regulars, and a fantastic pre-run where we discovered some unbelievable roads, we are taking you TO THE ISLAND! Vancouver Island, to be precise. As usual, the exact route will remain secret until the start of the event, but we can assure you that these roads are some of the best we’ve seen. This year, the Fall Freeze evolves its social element with planned lunch stops each day, and some unique waypoints along the route. Did we mention there’s also a steam train involved? You’re going to want to be on the entry list for this one. Head over to the event info page for the full information and entry form.
Is there anyway to email an entry to you? I missed out on the Spring Thaw this year and don’t want to miss the Fall Freeze!! I also would like to get my old racing number #6 🙂
Hi Brian,
You can certainly email a completed entry form to info@classiccaradventures.com, but an entry isn’t considered “official” until we’ve received a cheque for payment. So, you’ll still need to use the mail or courier system.

Well,
Dave, Warwick, Sue, et al…
I finally woke the BMW up after a rest of about 15 years. There is more oil in it than on the ground, the tires hold air, and it moves, stops and turns. Operating the vehicle, raises questions, however — hydraulics, electrical devices, operating windows, keys, title and registration are a few of the obvious issues.
I suppose this really is not too soon to begin sorting a car for an island adventure!
If you are collecting track car numbers, like Brian’s, mine is #11. No expectations of a low number given the state of international mail delivery, though. Just going is reward enough; I can hardly wait!

Just made it home after our Fall Freeze 2013 Island adventure – GREAT WORK setting this event up, everyone! The organization was stellar; the accommodations and meals beyond expectation (especially the Port Alberni evening 🙂 ); the route was beyond fantastic, and, best of all, our fellow participants were welcoming and friendly and a whole lot of fun visit with, and to watch blast past us in their VERY nice rides.
We’re hoping to join in again, after making a few tweaks to the Spitfire – great event for finding out all those little things that need improving, lol!
If anyone is wondering if Fall Freeze or Spring Thaw are worth checking out, we’d have to say that the answer is a very definite “Yes”.
Thanks again, Classic Car Adventures and Jellybean Auto Crafters. Happy travels till we meet again.
Barb & Edwin, in the little blue Spitfire.
